It’s First Lego League –FLL- Competition time of the year and honestly we can’t be more excited!

At First Lego League competition, teams research a real-world problem such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., and are challenged to develop a solution. 5

It all adds up to tons of fun while they learn to apply science, technology, engineering, and math concepts (STEM), plus a big dose of imagination, to solve a problem. Along their discovery journey, they develop critical thinking and team-building skills, basic STEM applications, and even presentation skills, as they must present their solutions with a dash of creativity to judges.

This year’s theme is named “INTO ORBIT”, where teams will get transported into space, where they’ll explore, challenge, and innovate in the vast expanse of space.

6First Lego League competition aim to challenge kids to think like scientists and engineers. During the “INTO ORBIT” season, teams will choose and solve a real-world problem in the Project in hand. They will also build and program an autonomous robot using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology to solve a set of missions on a table-top playing field in the Robot Game. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under the competition’s set of Core Values, celebrating discovery, teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism.
